Carter believed in self-determination for all people. He also wanted the United States to take the lead in human rights. Carter also believed that the United States should avoid military power. In other hand, he wanted to improve the relation between The United Sates and Soviet Union. Carter thought it was better to have experts around him so he hired Zbigniew Brzezinski as his security adviser, and Cyrus Vance as his secretary of state.

Cater focused on human rights the most. He also supported for Human Freedom worldwide.

-Camp David Accords
Camp David accords is a foreign policy by the Carter Presidency in an effort to end the conflict of two Nation "Israel and Egypt." In fall 1978 Carter handed out his terms for peace between the two nations.
The Israel Prime Minister Menachem Begin agreed to withdraw his military forces from Sinai and give Egypt full control over Sinai in exchange of funds to rebuild Israeli
Military bases in the N*egev Desert Egypt President Anwar Sadat also agreed with the terms but caused his Priminister to resign at the end believing the agreement took the advantages from Eygypt more than it profits. The two nation agreed to the terms and made peace resulting the complete withdrawal of Israel from Sinai Peninsula and the US will also take a role as a watch guard preventing neither both country will attempt any attacks.
Sadly this event didn't give any political benefits to Carter while Sadat and Begin won a Nobel Peace Prize in 1979.
-The Iran Hostage Crisis
The Iran Hostage Crisis began because Carter let Shah came in the United States and in the same time he mad Muslim in Iran get upset. November 1979, Students in Iran invaded American embassy in Teheran, Iran. They wanted Shah's money and property that Shah had spent outside Iran, and they also wanted apology from America.
